Beth Pfeifer
Beth Pfeiffer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at Temple University. Dr. Pfeiffer earned a BA in psychology and special education from Arcadia University, an MS in occupational therapy with a specialization in pediatrics from Temple University, and a PhD in occupational therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Educational Methodology Research with a focus on measurement from the University of Illinois. Dr. has over 20 years of clinical and research experience working with adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and mental health conditions.
Her research interests focus on treatment and measurement of person environmental interactions in individuals across the lifespan with ASD and mental health disorders. She has developed both interventions and measures to assess the impact of the environment on community participation. Currently, she is the primary investigator on studies to develop home and community participation scales and a peer mediated transportation training intervention to increase community participation for transitional aged youth and young adults with ASD. Dr. Pfeiffer is one of the lead investigators on the study entitled: "Revision, Refinement, and Development of Measures to Address Gaps in the Evaluation of Critical Person Centered HCBS Outcomes."
